Workshop on training and researching in the field of renewable energy

In the context of the world’s dwindling fossil fuel resources, high fuel prices, sufficient power for domestic demand is more and more difficult and becomes a major challenge. So the consideration of exploiting clean renewable energy sources has an important meaning both about economy, society and energy security in Vietnam.

In order to help teachers and students in the University find out the current trend of research in the field of renewable energy, solve the problem of finding and exploiting thoroughly, efficiently new energy sourcesfor satisfying the needs of socio-economic development. On 13th May, 2014, the University had invited Dr. Claus Fischer –Sales Manager of  Heliocentris Energy Solutions company – SAG (Germany) and some researchers at the Institute of Electronics, Informatics and Automation to present report on “Training and Research in the field of renewable energy”. Dr. Vu Duc Thai- Vice Rector came and presided at the workshop and other teachers and students also attended

The use of renewable energy in Viet Namin the initial stage serve the daily activities, hot water supply, lighting in the transport sector. Renewable energy sources are exploited mainly in hydropower, solar energy, wind, geothermal and biofuels. Around the world, German is one of the leading countries in training and research applications of renewable energy sources. The studies include: designing and creating electrical production devices from primary fuel sources, building integrated model using different fuel sources in a system.

Many teachers and students were interested in asking questions about the field of German high technology products, which is electric cars and hybrid cars. Dr. Fischer desires teachers and students at the University to be pioneers in researching on renewable energy and expand the research to other fields in Vietnam. Dr.Fischer is also ready to advise and assist the University in development of human resource training on renewable energy. Here are some photos from the workshop:
