Meeting: Summarization of Women task in academic year 2013 – 2014 and welcome Vietnam Women’s Day
In the morning of 20 October, 2014, the Executive Committee of the Trade Union of University of Information and Communication Technology (ICTU) organized a meeting on Summarization of Women task to celebrate 84 years of foundation of Vietnam Women’s Union (20/10/1930 – 20/10/2014).
Attending the meeting, as for Thai Nguyen University (TNU), there was the presence of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dam Thi Uyen, Head of Women Committee of the Trade Union of TNU. As for the invited guests, there was Mrs. Phan Anh Dai, Deputy Director of Distribution, Ohui Company in Thai Nguyen. On behalf of ICTU, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Viet Binh – Secretary of Party Committee, Rector, attended the meeting, addressing congratulatory speech, and gave flowers to units and individuals having outstanding achievements in the women’s movement. There was also the attendance of Mr. Nguyen Huu Thai – Chairman of the Trade Union of ICTU; Mr. Bui Anh Tu – Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union; the comrades in the Party Committee, University Board, the Executive Committee of Trade Union; representatives of the Executive Committees of affiliated labor union; representatives of the units, and the presence of nearly 300 female officials, lecturers, staff of the university.
Opening the meeting, Mrs. Trinh Thuy Ha – Head of Women Task Committee presented the summarization report on women task and results of the women emulation in academic year 2013 – 2014. In the report, she stated, “The past academic year 2013 – 2014, the movement “Good at work, responsible at home” has contributed significantly to improving the quality of teaching, scientific research and serving tasks of the operation of the university.”

Addressing at the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Viet Binh stressed, “The female officials, lecturers, and staff of ICTU plays a very important role in education and training of the university. In the achievements that the university has gained, there are significant contributions of female comrades, especially, in the current period. The number of female officials, lecturers and staff as chief authors of the scientific research projects has been increasing. The female personnel planning is also paid much attention to by leaders of the university.” Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Viet Binh also expressed his wants that in the future the female comrades will bring into play their important role not only in the family, in the university, but also in the society.
In the meeting, the organizing committee also announced award decisions regarding women task in the academic year 2013 – 2014.
