ICTU organized the summary meeting of the academic year 2017 – 2018 and the tasks implementation of the new 2018-2019 one for Lao students
On 5 October 2018, University of Information and Communication Technology (ICTU) held a meeting to review the 2017-2018 academic year and to carry out the tasks and plans of the 2018-2019 academic year for Lao students. .
Attending the meeting there were Dr. Vu Duc Thai – Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee – Vice Rector together with leaders of faculties and departments and under the university and full of Lao students studying and researching at ICTU.

At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Vu Duc Thai congratulated the Lao students who had completed the 2017 – 2018 academic year, be ready to enter the new 2018 – 2019 one. Thanks to this meeting, Dr. Vu Duc Thai wished the university’s leaders would receive the contributions and suggestions from the overseas students to make better education and training in the new academic year.
An overview of the meeting
In the last academic year, there were 74 Lao students studying including 32 freshmen. At the meeting, the representatives of Division of Science – Technology and International Cooperation presented the summary report of the 2017-2018 academic year of Lao students pointing out the rewarding achievements and shortcomings. The division also officially launched the training plan, financial work, students’ affairs, dormitory resident management, health care, medical examination and treatment, Immigration management, extension of visa and movement of culture, arts, physical training and sports, organization of major holidays for Lao students in 2018 – 2019 academic year.

Next, the participants listened to the perspectives that existed during the past year, such as the issue of dormitories, background profiles of students, etc., and discussed the recommendations to help them have the best conditions when studying and living in ICTU.
