ICTU Organized Exchange Program on Digital Transformation with Hung Vuong University (HVU)
Digital transformation becoming an inevitable trend in higher education, ICTU collaborated with Hung Vuong University (HVU) to organize an experience exchange program.
Strengthening Cooperation in Digital Transformation
On March 15, 2025, ICTU welcomed a delegation from HVU, including representatives from its leadership and specialized departments. The program aimed to exchange experiences and discuss strategies for implementing digital transformation in university management, teaching, and research activities.

Towards Cooperation and Innovation
The program served as an opportunity for both institutions to share experiences, contributing to the promotion of strategic cooperation and the application of digital technology in training, management, and scientific research. The event consisted of two main sessions: the Plenary Session and the In-depth Working Session by subcommittees, offering practical and meaningful discussions.
Plenary Session: Strategic Orientation
Associate Professor Dr. Phung Trung Nghia – ICTU Rector Emphasizes the Importance of Digital Transformation in Higher Education
At the opening of the program, Associate Professor Dr. Phung Trung Nghia, ICTU Rector, delivered the keynote speech, highlighting the significance of digital transformation in higher education. He expressed his desire to establish a broad and strategic partnership between the two universities to maximize the benefits of digital technologies.
Immediately afterward, the delegates watched a video showcasing ICTU’s digital transformation journey, highlighting its achievements and future development directions. A representative from Hung Vuong University Board of Rectors delivered a speech, sharing experiences and challenges encountered during HVU’s digital transformation process.
In-depth Working Session: Subcommittee Discussions
Following the plenary session, delegates were divided into three subcommittees, each focusing on a specific area:
Subcommittee 1: Personnel, Finance, Facilities, Science & Technology, and International Cooperation
Chaired by Associate Professor Dr. Phung Trung Nghia and Dr. Tran Dinh Chien, this subcommittee focused on discussions regarding the application of digital technology in personnel management, budget optimization, and facility upgrades to enhance training quality.
Subcommittee 2: Training, Student Management, and Admissions
Chaired by Dr. Do Dinh Cuong and Dr. Dang Thi Thanh Phuong, this subcommittee shared experiences on digitalizing training processes, applying AI in student admissions, managing students on digital platforms, and developing flexible learning models.
Subcommittee 3: Academic Affairs, Curriculum Development, and Implementation
Chaired by Dr. Vu Duc Thai and Dr. Phan Thi Tinh, this subcommittee focused on solutions for curriculum development, the production of digital learning materials, the integration of Learning Management Systems (LMS), and the advancement of open educational resources.
With a spirit of cooperation and strong commitment, the subcommittees proposed numerous practical recommendations, helping to shape the digital transformation process at both institutions. The outcomes of these discussions will serve as valuable resources for ICTU and HVU to further develop their digitalization strategies in higher education.
The program concluded with highly positive and practical results. Beyond experience sharing, it served as a strong bridge to enhance mutual trust and foster a sustainable partnership between the two universities. With joint efforts, ICTU and HVU aim to continue maintaining and expanding exchange programs, contributing to the improvement of higher education quality and laying the foundation for sustainable development in the digital era.
