ICTU strengthens international academic connections with experts from Kyonggi University, South Korea

On August 28, 2026, Thai Nguyen University of Information and Communication Technology (ICTU) organized an international academic activity, hosting experts from Kyonggi University, South Korea. The program contributed to expanding the international academic exchange environment, updating specialized knowledge, and creating additional opportunities for learning, research, and networking for the University’s staff, lecturers, and students.

The representatives of the University Board of Rectors, the Division of Science, Technology and International Cooperation, the Institute of International Training, leaders and lecturers of the Faculty of Information Technology, and interested students attended the event.

The two experts participating in the program were Prof. Kwanghoon Kim, Director of the Institute for Content-Convergent Software Research, Kyonggi University, and Dr. Pham Dinh Lam from Kyonggi University, South Korea.

Updating Specialized Knowledge in Information Systems

As part of the program, two in-depth academic seminars were held on the following topics:

  • Information Systems Analysis and Design;
  • Business Process Intelligence.

Through these discussions, staff, lecturers, and students had opportunities to gain further specialized knowledge in information systems and engage directly with international experts on approaches, research methods, and issues of current interest in the field.

For students, this was not only an opportunity to supplement the knowledge acquired through their formal academic programs but also to broaden their perspectives on applying technological knowledge to the analysis, design, and optimization of systems and processes in practice.

Creating More Opportunities for International Study and Research

An important part of the program was a discussion of postgraduate scholarship programs at Kyonggi University.

Through information shared directly by the experts, ICTU students had additional opportunities to learn about postgraduate study pathways in South Korea, enabling them to take a more proactive approach to planning their future studies, research, and professional development.

In addition, the program included discussions on research collaboration opportunities and international journal publications. These discussions laid the groundwork for strengthening connections between ICTU’s lecturers and researchers and experts from Kyonggi University, gradually expanding the academic cooperation network and promoting research activities with an international collaborative dimension.

Bringing the International Academic Environment Closer to Learners

Organizing academic exchange activities with international experts is part of ICTU’s orientation toward strengthening international cooperation, connecting with researchers, and improving the effectiveness of education and scientific research.

Through programs such as the seminars with Kyonggi University, students have opportunities to interact directly with experts, broaden their specialized knowledge, and explore new educational pathways. Lecturers, meanwhile, gain further opportunities for professional exchange, research networking, and the pursuit of high-quality scientific publications.

These activities also contribute to the gradual development of an open learning environment in which knowledge extends beyond the classroom through connections among the University, experts, and international educational and research institutions.

Through these efforts, ICTU continues to create additional opportunities for learners to access knowledge, educational opportunities, and the international academic environment while studying at the University.
