Division of Academic Affairs

1. History of formation and development

Division of Academic Affairs was established under Decision No. 801/QD-DHTN dated August 11, 2011 of the President of Thai Nguyen University. Formerly, it was Division of Academic Affairs-Science and International Relations (under Faculty of Information Technology) established under Decision No. 79/QD-TCCB on March 20, 2002 by the President of Thai Nguyen University.

2. Functions and tasks

Division of Academic Affairs performs the function of advising and assisting the Board of Rectors in managing and organizing the implementation of tasks in the field of undergraduate and graduate training and a number of other tasks of the university assigned by the Rector.

The Division carry out the main tasks including admission, undergraduate and graduate training management, academic result management, coursebook compilation, connecting the university with businesses, and library management.

3. Structure and staff

Currently, the Division has 19 staff including one head of the Division, 2 vice heads and 16 officials. 100% of staff have bachelor degrees or higher. The number of staff with master and doctoral degrees accounts for 65%.

The staff always work with a high sense of responsibility, enthusiasm, capacity and professional qualifications to meet the requirements of assigned tasks.

4. Titles and rewards achieved

The Division is one of the leading units in the university’s emulation movement, has won the title of Excellent Collective for many years, and was awarded the Certificate of Merit from Ministry of Education and Training.
