COLOURFUL ICTU 2026 – Bringing cultural colours together in an international learning environment at ICTU

With nearly 60 international students and interns from 14 countries studying and gaining experience, ICTU is increasingly becoming a destination of choice for international students. In addition to focusing on the quality of education, the University is also building an open and friendly learning environment where differences in language and culture become opportunities for connection.

In this spirit, Thai Nguyen University of Information and Communication Technology (ICTU) organized the international student exchange program “Colourful ICTU 2026”, creating a space for Vietnamese students, international students, and interns to meet, interact, and experience different cultural colours together.

Currently, the international student and intern community at ICTU includes those from the United States, India, Laos, the Philippines, Timor-Leste, Cambodia, Nigeria, Mozambique, Iran, and other countries. This diversity of nationalities and cultures is helping create an increasingly international learning environment at ICTU.

In his opening remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Nui, Head of the Division of Science, Technology and International Cooperation, emphasized the importance of exchange activities in strengthening connections and creating an environment where Vietnamese and international students can better understand one another, learn together, and develop.

The leadership of the University’s faculties, institutes, and centers, representatives of the University’s Student Association, representatives of IAESTE Vietnam, and local press, radio, and television agencies in Thai Nguyen attended the program.

When Cultural Differences Become a Means of Connection

What made Colourful ICTU 2026 special was that Vietnamese and international students did not simply meet but directly joined the same teams to participate in interactive activities, work together, and explore cultures.

Nearly 60 International Students – 14 Countries – One ICTU Community

Colourful ICTU 2026 was more than just an exchange program. Activities like these contribute to creating a multicultural learning and experiential environment for the international student community at ICTU.

Here, international students not only acquire specialized knowledge but also have opportunities to experience Vietnamese culture, participate in student activities, connect with Vietnamese friends, and gradually integrate into a new living and learning environment. Meanwhile, Vietnamese students have more opportunities to communicate and work with friends from different countries during their studies at the University.

The presence of nearly 60 students and interns from 14 countries is one indication of ICTU’s increasingly diverse and international educational environment. It also provides a foundation for the University to continue building a high-quality, open, friendly, and internationally integrated learning environment where students from different countries can study, gain experience, and develop.

Each country brings a colour, and each student carries a story. When these colours come together at ICTU, a multicultural learning community continues to expand, embodying the spirit of “Colourful ICTU”.
