Samsung Mobile Research and Development Center paid a working visit at ICTU

In the afternoon of 28 October, 2014, University of Information and Communication Technology (ICTU) had a meeting with Samsung Mobile Research and Development Center under Samsung Electronics Vietnam Co., Ltd. (SVMC). The center also coordinated with the university held “Samsung Mobile Technical Seminar 2nd 2014” with the participation of university’s teachers and students.

Attending the meeting, as for SVMC, there were attendance of Mr. Yeonkyu Park – Chief Manager, Mr. Pham Ngoc Thai – Manager of Division of Applied Technology, and Mr. Bui Tuan Ninh – Deputy Manager of Division of Software and Technology Platform

Represented for ICTU, there were attendance of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Viet Binh – Rector of ICTU, and representatives of ICTU Board, divisions, faculties, departments and centers of the university.

In the meeting, on behalf of University Board, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Vietnam Binh stressed: “In the future, ICTU wish to seek ties with SVMC in such fields as advanced curriculum development for the two fields of Electronics and Communications Technology and Information Technology; Participating in research and development of Samsung products; cooperation in training and developing human resources to meet the Samsung’s recruitment needs at Samsung Yen Binh Industrial Parks, Thai Nguyen “.

He Yeonkyu Park – representative of SVMC agreed that in the future the Center will consider the specific conditions to develop regulations and contents of cooperation between the two parties.

In the follow-up program “Samsung Mobile Technical Seminar 2nd 2014”, more than 300 students of the university had been introduced the overview of Samsung Mobile Research and Development Center by experts of SVMC, learned and experienced some of the commonly used operating system by Samsung . The workshop was organized to help students better understand software and mobile technology being widely used today, and got the idea to build the new software, technology applicable in reality.
