Japanese delegation paid a working visit to ICTU

In order to further strengthen the cooperation relations in joint training between University of Information and Communication Technology (ICTU) and Japanese enterprises and institutions, from 25 to 27 December, 2016, a Japanese delegation including Mr. Kurushima Isao – Vice Principal of Yokohama Techno Auto College (YTC), SG Motors Co. LTD and USAMI KOYU CO, LTD. HANOI OFFICE visited and worked at ICTU.

Welcoming the delegation, as for ICTU, there were Dr. Vu Duc Thai – Vice Rector, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Viet Binh – Former Rector, and the staff of the functional units as well as Department of Automotive Technology and Sensor Systems.

Meeting between Japanese delegation and ICTU

Over the years, based on the help of equipment from YTC, Department of Automotive Technology and Sensor Systems of ICTU has been formed. So far the first cohort of students has graduated. This working visit between the university and Japanese units aims at further developing cooperation on vocational training for the students, especially in the field of high-tech cars.

At the meeting, the parties presented information on their units, exchanged, identified possibilities for cooperation and long-term partnership based on similarities in the training of ICTU with the need to use human resources of Japanese companies. Accordingly, ICTU expressed wish to get the help of the Japanese partners in developing training programs, improving teaching materials for automotive electronics towards high technology to meet huge demand for quality labor resources in this area. At the same time, ICTU students can practice in business establishments, repairing service workshops of the companies located in Vietnam in the coming time.

On the Japanese side, representatives of the companies fully agreed with the comments above, while confirming the company will facilitate best practice for ICTU students and the outstanding students meeting job requirements will be employed at the business establishments located in Vietnam.

Japanese delegation visiting Automotive Technology Lab

In the framework of the meeting, the Japanese delegation visited Automotive Technology lab that YTC has helped to provide equipment, and visited Vocational College No. 1 – Ministry of National Defence. On 27 December, 2016, the delegation met students of Automotive Electronics Technology and wraps up official visit ICTU.
