ICTU hosted the 2nd International Conference on Advances in Information and Communication Technology (ICTA2023)

On the afternoon of December 13, the University of Information and Communication Technology (ICTU) – Thai Nguyen University organized The 2nd International Conference on Advances in Information and Communication Technology (ICTA2023)

Attending the Conference were speakers and professors from many countries around the world such as Japan, Denmark, South Korea, Taiwan … Assoc. Prof Dr. Hoang Van Hung – President of Thai University Nguyen, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thanh Van, Vice President of Thai University Nguyen attended the Conference. On behalf of the FISU Club, there was Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Thuy – President of FISU Vietnam, Prof. Dr. Huynh Van Nam – Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (JAIST), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Thu Lam – General Secretary of FISU Vietnam, Assoc. Prof Dr.  Huynh Cong Phap – Rector of VKU, President of FISU Central – Central Highlands, Dr. Nguyen Quang Vu – Head of Department of Science, Technology and International Cooperation – VKU, Secretary of FISU Central Region – Central Highlands, Dr. Nguyen Huu Hoa – FISU Mekong Delta Club. Regarding ICTU, there was Dr. Nguyen Van Tao, Chairman of the ICTU Council; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phung Trung Nghia – Rector, President of FISU in the Northern Coastal and Mountainous region, departments, specialised faculties and students in the university.

The Conference was hosted by ICTU in coordination with its partners including Thai Nguyen University (TNU); Duy Tan University (DTU); Institute of Information Technology – Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (lolT); Vietnam ICT Club of Faculties-Institutes-Schools-Universities (FISU); Kyungpook National University, the Republic of Korea (KNU); Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, Japan (JAIST); and Feng Chia University, Taiwan (FCU).

The Conference created a forum for scientists and practitioners to exchange research results, ideas, experiences and applications on advances in information and communication technology. The Conference received 179 submissions, including about 40 international scientists from 15 countries, such as the Philippines, India, Korea, Taiwan, Indonesia, Czechia, China and Denmark. Many Vietnamese scientists cooperated in research with international scientists in multinational research projects.

There were nearly 200 domestic and foreign scientists participating in the review process, each article had at least 2 independent reviewers. After review, 83/179 articles were accepted for presentation at the Conference. The presentations were divided into 06 tracks: Artificial Intelligence, Electronics, Control and Automation, Multimedia, Digital Economics and Management, and Mathematical Foundations in Informatics, in which the number of papers in the field of AI accounted for 20 articles.

Speaking at the Conference, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phung Trung Nghia emphasised that ICTA 2023 was held on a very special day because 22 years ago, on December 14, the Faculty of Information Technology under Thai Nguyen University was established. In 2011, ICTU was established based on upgrading from the Faculty of Information Technology. To date, ICTU brand has been evaluated and recognised through research and teaching projects. More than 30,000 bachelors, engineers, masters, and doctors have graduated from ICTU and have made significant contributions to the country.

The Conference has affirmed its reputation and professional quality, serving as a bridge between domestic and foreign scientists to contribute intelligence, science and technology in the fields of information and communication technology, and digital economics and promoting scientific development and national digital transformation.
