ICTU held Meeting of officials and employees of academic year 2013 – 2014
In the afternoon of 22 October, 2014, University of Information and Communication Technology (ICTU) held a successful meeting of officials and employees of the academic year 2013 – 2014. There was attendance of 130 delegates representing for university’s units. The meeting also deployed the plan of the new academic year with a number of new policies and directions in order to improve the quality of education, training and scientific research.
As for the invited guests, there was the presence of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Luong Tai – Former Vice President of Thai Nguyen University. In the meeting, attendees were reported about the important draft reports, such as Summarization report on the task of the academic year 2013 – 2014, and the orientation and task of the academic year 2014 – 2015; Report on results of the youth union task; Financial report; and Report on results of the people inspection task. Regarding the overall assessment of the implementation of the task in the academic year 2013 – 2014, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Viet Binh stressed, “In the past academic year, the training scale of our university retains the growth, and quality of education is basically guaranteed; scientific research and technology transfer has got many positive changes; human resource and facilities development continues to be strengthened; inspection, testing and quality assurance of education, politics security and social safety are maintained.”

Regarding the orientation and task for the new academic year, he also stated, “In this academic year, our university will continues to promote education management innovation to build a discipline, friendly and effective education environment. Particularly, our university will pay much attention to the innovation in student management, and tasks of head teachers and learning consultants. This is regarded as one of the key tasks for improving the quality of education and training. In addition, it is necessary to better organize propaganda, education, and emulation activities with practical significance to welcome and celebrate the important holidays of the year.” (chongiong.com chuyên trang giống cây trồng)
Within the framework of the meeting, some delegates presented their memoirs on several issues, such as head teachers work with improving the quality of teaching – learning and self-study management of students; practice activities associated with the reality in the enterprises and enterprise development within universities; training and fostering staff; strengthening international cooperation, science and technology associated with improving the quality of education and training; and solutions to enhance the income and improve living standards for university officials and employees.
Some memoirs have attracted attention, and consent of the participants. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Luong Tai – Former Vice President of Thai Nguyen University gave his speech and stressed, “The awareness of education and training is a vital issue to ensure the reputation of the university. However, that awareness sometimes is forgotten or overlooked. The University Board should focus on finding solutions to raise the awareness for teachers and students.”
It is considered that the meeting of officials and employees of the academic year 2013 – 2014 has new innovations in terms of content and organization. The meeting received many open and sincere comments through dialogues with the participants, which expressed constructive and responsible spirit for the future development of the university.
