Signing Ceremony between ICTU and EDX
On the morning of March 8th, at University of Information and Communication Technology (ICTU), a signing ceremony was held between ICTU and EDX Group in order to coordinate training and supply human resources for e-commerce.
Attending the signing ceremony, there were Dr. Nguyen Van Tao – Secretary of Party Committee, Rector, Dr. Do Dinh Cuong – Vice Rector with representatives of some functional divisions, faculties, representatives of staff, lecturers, students. As for EDX, there were Mr. Nguyen Dinh Hung – Chairman of the Group, Alibaba representative in Vietnam, Ms. Hoang Thi Kim Yen – Deputy General Director of the Group together with representatives of various departments of the Group.

EDX Group was established in September 2004 with its main business is to support exports through Alibaba, online export agent, intermediary import-export trade, distribution of telecommunication technology products, software solutions and digital content … On 29 February, 2016, EDX became the official authorized agent of Alibaba Group in Vietnam, specializing in supporting small and medium enterprises of Vietnam to export online via e-commerce ecosystem, such as Alibaba.com, 1688.com, Taobao.com, Tmall.com, Aliexpress.
In the cooperation between ICTU and EDX, the two sides discussed the cooperation in enrollment activities, building and organizing the e-commerce bachelor training program. investment in facilities, teaching staff, training services, finance and management of affiliate programs, consulting and solving jobs for graduates.

addressing at the signing ceremony, Dr. Nguyen Van Tao briefed on the formation, construction and development of ICTU. He thanked the EDX Group for their cooperation in training e-commerce and hoped that the two institutions would effectively implement the training contents to achieve the best quality targeting the cooperation between ICTU and business.
After the speech of Dr. Nguyen Van Tao, the representative of EDX Group has briefed about the Group, its business areas and its partners. At the same time, he introduces the content, training model, job opportunities for students after graduation when studying the e-commerce program.

With this training method, the Group ensures 100% graduates have jobs. Graduates will receive regular university degrees, E-commerce certifications from Alibaba and edX. Meanwhile, students also receive certificates of work experience, certification of each subject in e-commerce.

In the discussion session, the students were enthusiastic to ask questions, such as whether students studying in other fields of ICTU have the opportunity to practice in and work for EDX Group or be able to study e-commerce training programs. The questions have been answered satisfactorily by the leaders of the corporation and the school leaders.
