ICTU Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and Student Association
Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of University of Information and Communication Technology was established in 2001 when Faculty of Information Technology was established on December 14, 2001 under Decision No. 6946/QD-BGD DT-TCCB by Minister of Education and Training.
Together with the formation and development of University of Information and Communication Technology over the past 20 years, many generations of Youth Union and Student Union have made constant efforts to build a positive image of the university through movement, volunteering, cultural and artistic activities, physical training and sports activities with the core mission: Political and ideological education for union members and youth; Marxism – Leninism education, Ho Chi Minh’s ideology education, Propaganda and education on law, lifestyle for students; Education on the revolutionary and the university’s tradition.

In the era of technology 4.0, the field of information technology is a tool to promote the development of many industries and fields; Youth Union tasks and student movement with youthful dynamism and enthusiasm in movement activities have organised meaningful activities such as ICTU union day, Halloween festival, New student welcome Gala, Men’s and women’s soccer tournament, Summer volunteering, Charity activities, Informatics Olympiad, Creative Contest for the Young, etc. With the efforts and youth of young people, it has become an effective communication channel to promote the youthful images of generations of university students to the social community in the integration period.
TITLES AND REWARDS
1. Certificate of Merit from Minister of Education and Training for winning the second prize in “the 13th National Student Singing Contest” in 2014.
2. In the academic years 2008-2009, 2012-2014, 2014-2017, 2016-2017: Certificate of Merit from Central Committee of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union for outstanding achievements in Youth Union work and university youth movement.
3. In the academic years 2016-2017, 2019-202: Emulation Flag was presented by Thai Nguyen Province’s Youth Union for an excellent unit in the Union work and youth movement at universities and colleges.
