ICTU – A trusted destination for international students with a multicultural learning environment
Recently, University of Information and Communications Technology (ICTU) held a meeting to review the training and management of international students in the 2023-2024 academic year, and set out directions and tasks for the 2024-2025 academic year. ICTU is currently training nearly 100 international students from many countries such as Laos, Cambodia, the USA, South Korea, Nigeria, Zimbabwe, Sri Lanka, etc.
Overview of the meeting
In the 2023-2024 academic year, ICTU welcomed and trained 78 international students, including 8 postgraduate students, 55 undergraduate students, and 15 students studying Vietnamese. Speaking at the conference, Dr. Vu Duc Thai, Vice Rector of ICTU, emphasized, “ICTU aims to build a modern and multicultural educational environment, providing international students with a qualified learning experience and inclusion. The university focuses on expanding international cooperation, improving training programs, and increasing support so that students can develop comprehensively and be ready for the global future.”

In addition to the main curriculum, ICTU also organizes many unique cultural activities such as the traditional Lao New Year Bunpimay, the “Colourful ICTU” program, and the Lunar New Year celebration (Year of Wood Dragon) … These activities aim to create a rich cultural exchange environment, helping international students understand more deeply about Vietnamese culture.
At the meeting, Sidavanh Palamy – an international student from Lao PDR shared, “Thanks to the enthusiastic support from the university, we have comfortable and convenient accommodation in the dormitory. I have received enthusiastic support from teachers and friends in my studies and research, and have participated in cultural, artistic, and sports exchange activities that are very fun and meaningful.”
The meeting was also an opportunity for ICTU to honor outstanding international students and propose important solutions to improve the quality of training. The proposals focused on improving the curriculum, enhancing facilities, and promoting student support activities.
