Delegation of JobVenture Project, Federal Republic of Germany paid a work visit to ICTU

On 14 November 2025, Thai Nguyen University of Information and Communication Technology (ICTU) held a working session with a delegation from the JobVenture Project, Federal Republic of Germany. Receiving the delegation were Dr. Do Dinh Cuong, Vice Rector of ICTU, together with leaders from Faculty of Engineering & Technology, Division of Science–Technology & International Cooperation, Division of Academic Affairs, and the Center for Informatics, Foreign Languages & On-Demand Training.

The JobVenture Project delegation was led by Mr. Tim Demski, Project Director. JobVenture is a recruitment initiative supported by the German Government to connect high-quality human resources from Vietnam with Germany, where demand for young skilled workers is rapidly increasing, particularly in healthcare, information technology, engineering, and high-skilled vocational sectors. The project has successfully cooperated with several Vietnamese universities, including Vietnam National University of Agriculture (VNUA) and Thai Nguyen University (TNU), implementing professional training programs, placing the first candidates in Germany, and receiving highly positive feedback from employers.

During their visit to ICTU, the JobVenture delegation toured the Automation Laboratory and the Automotive Technology Laboratory of Faculty of Engineering & Technology, assessing cooperation potential and discussing the implementation of a vocational-study program in Germany, particularly for students of the Faculty. The program offers free courses on professional skills, German language, soft skills, and cultural integration for ICTU students.

Notably, the JobVenture delegation awarded two scholarships to disadvantaged students of Faculty of Engineering & Technology who have achieved excellent academic results, demonstrating the project’s long-term commitment to supporting and creating opportunities for ICTU students.

The cooperation between ICTU and JobVenture opens up numerous opportunities for students to participate in vocational training programs – from candidate selection and German-language training to cultural preparation and long-term employment support in Germany.

Both parties plan to implement pilot projects in the fields of Automation and Automotive Technology, strengthening the connection between Vietnamese and German education systems and enhancing cultural readiness for both students and employers. These efforts not only help address Germany’s labour shortages but also contribute to improving ICTU’s international reputation and global integration capacity.
