ICTU signed the Memorandum of Understanding with Old Teachers Network (OTN), Japan to expand international academic and research opportunities

On October 24, ICTU officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Old Teachers Network (OTN), Japan. The signing ceremony took place in a solemn atmosphere, with the attendance of Prof. Mizuhito Ogawa – President of OTN, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phung Trung Nghia – Rector of ICTU, along with leaders of ICTU’s functional divisions, lecturers, and staff members.

In his remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phung Trung Nghia emphasized that international cooperation has always been one of the key driving forces for ICTU to enhance the quality of education and research, moving toward international standards in the fields of information and communication technology. The collaboration with OTN – a network of highly experienced experts from leading universities across Japan – will open up new opportunities for ICTU to expand its global academic network while fostering the professional capacity, creativity, and international integration skills of its lecturers and students.

According to the MoU, ICTU and OTN will jointly implement a range of key cooperative activities. The two parties will facilitate the exchange of lecturers, researchers, and students among member institutions, thereby promoting academic interaction and knowledge sharing. Experts from OTN will be invited to ICTU to participate in teaching, research supervision, and academic support, contributing to the enhancement of ICTU’s training quality.

Both parties also agreed to co-organize international conferences and seminars in the fields of information and communication technology and related disciplines. In addition, they will collaborate in developing and seeking funding for joint research programs. Alongside these activities, ICTU and OTN will strengthen the exchange of learning materials and the sharing of high-quality academic resources, thereby enriching the research and training ecosystems of both institutions.

The MoU takes effect from the date of signing and will be implemented on the principles of mutual benefit and flexibility, ensuring adaptability to future practical needs. This collaboration demonstrates the commitment of both institutions to promoting knowledge connection, experience sharing, and sustainable academic cooperation in education and research.

The signing of the MoU with the Old Teachers Network Japan once again affirms ICTU’s strong strategy of international integration. The partnership not only creates a foundation for ICTU to access advanced knowledge and educational practices from Japan but also contributes to building a modern, globally connected learning environment. This effort aligns with ICTU’s mission of developing high-quality human resources to meet the demands of national development in the digital era.
