ICTU hosts forum: “Preparing for the Future: English and Visual Literacy”
On August 25, 2025, ICTU in collaboration with National Geographic Learning (USA) organized a forum themed “Preparing for the Future: English and Visual Literacy.” This important academic event contributed to enhancing training quality and expanding international integration opportunities for the university’s lecturers and students.
The program brought together ICTU lecturers alongside colleagues from University of Sciences and University of Education under Thai Nguyen University, creating a multidimensional academic forum where faculty members and students could exchange, share, and engage with emerging trends in teaching and research.
Presentations by distinguished speakers at the forum
The forum introduced modern methods for teaching and learning English while emphasizing the importance of Visual Literacy – the ability to think and express ideas through images. The integration of language and visuals not only makes knowledge acquisition more engaging and accessible but also helps learners develop analytical and creative skills, thereby better meeting the demands of the digital age.
Practical benefits for ICTU lecturers and students
The forum also delivered tangible benefits. For lecturers, it was an opportunity to access innovative teaching methods that can be directly applied in classrooms. For students, the program offered a chance to develop language skills in connection with visual experiences, boosting their confidence in both academic and professional contexts. At the same time, the event reaffirmed ICTU’s steadfast commitment to the internationalization of education.
In the coming period, ICTU will continue to strengthen collaboration with prestigious global educational organizations, actively applying digital technology and resources in teaching. The university is committed to equipping students with solid professional knowledge, foreign language proficiency, visual thinking, creativity, and international integration skills which are essential for thriving in the digital era.
