ICTU receives quality accreditation certificates for six undergraduate programs
On July 18, 2025, ICTU solemnly held a ceremony to announce the decision and award quality accreditation certificates for six undergraduate programs.
The event was honoured by the presence of Dr. Nguyen Van Duong – Director of Thang Long Education Quality Accreditation Center, Ms. Nguyen Thu Huong – Deputy Head of the Department of Academic Affairs and Student Management, Thai Nguyen University. From ICTU, there were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phung Trung Nghia – Rector; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Huan – Vice Chairman of the University Council; Dr. Vu Duc Thai – Vice Rector; and Dr. Nguyen Duy Minh – Vice Rector and Chairman of the ICTU Trade Union. The ceremony also welcomed leaders of faculties and departments, along with a large number of lecturers, staff, and students.
At the ceremony, ICTU was honoured to receive the quality accreditation certificates for the following six undergraduate programs:
- Computer Science
- Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology
- E-Commerce
- Graphic Design
- Communication Technology
- Multimedia Communication
In his remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phung Trung Nghia – Rector of ICTU – emphasised, “This is a meaningful milestone in the persistent journey that the university community has diligently pursued. Today’s result is a well-deserved recognition of the dedication, effort, and silent contributions of our faculty in the process of self-assessment and program improvement. Achieving accreditation provides a solid and transparent foundation, enabling the university to be more proactive and responsible toward our learners. In the coming period, ICTU will continue to promote quality accreditation activities, extending evaluations to the remaining programs to complete accreditation for all training programs before 2030.”
On behalf of the Thang Long Education Quality Accreditation Center, Dr. Nguyen Van Duong congratulated ICTU and stated, “Along with these six certificates, we also present the university with six sets of practical recommendations from the Accreditation Council and the External Evaluation Team. These are the insights we hope ICTU will flexibly apply to continue improving quality in the next stage of development.”
Speaking on behalf of the faculties whose programs were accredited, Dr. Do Thi Bac – Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Communication – expressed gratitude to the university’s leadership, functional offices, especially the Testing and Quality Assurance Office, the Thang Long Education Quality Accreditation Center, and the External Evaluation Team for their objective and constructive assessments. She also extended thanks to Thai Nguyen University for its support and favourable conditions throughout the process.
The accreditation of these six undergraduate programs affirms ICTU’s commitment to providing highly qualified human resources with strong professional competencies, excellent employability skills, and the ability to adapt quickly to both domestic and international labour markets. This achievement also lays the groundwork for the university to further expand its cooperation in training, research, and technology transfer, effectively contributing to regional and national development.
