ICTU received Certificate of Educational Quality Accreditation
On July 16, Thai Nguyen University (TNU) held a ceremony to announce the decision and award the Certificate of Educational Quality Accreditation to the University of Information and Communications Technology (ICTU) and 3 other affiliated institutions.
Attending the ceremony, there were participations of Dr. Le My Phong – Deputy Director General of the Department of Quality Management under the Ministry of Education and Training, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Phuong Nga, Director of the Centre for Education Accreditation under the Association of Vietnam Universities and Colleges. On behalf of Thai Nguyen University, there were Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Quang, Secretary of the TNU Party Committee, Chairman of TNU Council, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huu Cong and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thanh Van, TNU Deputy Directors. On the ICTU side, there were Dr. Nguyen Van Tao – Chairman of ICTU Council, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phung Trung Nghia – Rector, Dr. Vu Duc Thai – Vice Rector and representatives of ICTU’s units.
At the event, TNU coordinated with the Association of Vietnam Universities and Colleges to announce the decision and award certificates of educational quality accreditation to 4 affiliated universities including the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, University of Agriculture and Forestry, University of Information and Communication Technology and University of Science.
Among the institutions that received accreditation certificates, ICTU was highly appreciated for a number of strengths such as having been restructured to be streamlined and suitable for the university, having built a diverse learning environment, monitoring system through training management software system, learner management, and creating a database lookup system to serve the work of education quality.
Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Le My Phong acknowledged and highly appreciated the leadership and direction of Thai Nguyen University, along with the efforts of member universities. He affirmed that evaluation and accreditation of training programs and higher education institutions is an important task for training institutions to proactively ensure quality conditions, meeting social requirements in the context of globalization.
Being granted a Certificate of Educational Quality Accreditation according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training is evidence of the efforts of the entire ICTU team over the past time. Recognized results have affirmed its quality of education, status and reputation in society.
