Labour Union of University of Information and Communication Technology

Labour Union of University of Information and Communication Technology (Labour Union), formerly the Labour Union of Faculty of Information Technology under Labour Union of Thai Nguyen University, was established along with the establishment of the faculty on December 14, 2001. The total number of Labour union members when newly established was 13 (07 female) with a provisional Executive Committee consisting of 03 members.
Since its establishment, the Labour Union has undergone 6 terms:
Term I (2002 – 2005), Labour Union of Faculty of Information Technology had only 05 labour union groups with a total of 67 member. The Term was is Dr. Vu Vinh Quang.
Term II (2005 – 2007), Labour Union of Faculty of Information Technology had 10 labour union groups with a total of 173 members. The Executive Committee included 5 members. The president was Dr. Vu Vinh Quang and vice president was MSc. Pham Bich Tra.
Term III, term 2007-2010, Labour Union had 15 groups with total number of members was 254. The Executive Committee had 9 people, the Standing Committee had 3 people, including:
– President: Dr. Vu Vinh Quang
– Vice President: MSc. Pham Bich Tra
– Standing members: Dr. Vu Duc Thai
Term IV (2010 – 2012), Labour Union has 12 affiliated sub-unions with a total number of 368 members. The Executive Committee had 15 members, and the Standing Committee had 3 members, including:
– President: MSc. Pham Dinh Cuong
– Vice President: MSc. Pham Bich Tra
– Standing member: Dr. Vu Duc Thai.
Term V (2012 – 2017), Labour Union has 11 affiliated sub-unions with a total number of members of 460. The Executive Committee had 15 members, and the Standing Committee had 5 members, including:
– President: MSc. Nguyen Huu Thai
– Vice President: Dr. Vu Duc Thai
– Standing member: Dr. Truong Ha Hai
– Standing member: Ms. Tran Kim Anh
– Standing member: Ms. Mach Quy Duong.
Term VI (2017 – 2022), Labour Union has 10 affiliated sub-unions with a total of 360 members. The Executive Committee had 15 members, and the Standing Committee 5 members, including:
– President: Dr. Vu Duc Thai
– Vice President: MSc. Pham Van Ngoc
– Vice President: MSc. Quy Duong.
– Standing member: MSc. Tran Kim Anh
– Standing member: MSc. Trinh Thuy Ha, Head of Women’s Committee
The labour union has performed well the role of the labour union, carried out activities to take care of the spiritual and material life for members and employees; to protect the legitimate and legitimate interests of all staff and employees in the university.
The union members actively participate in cultural, artistic and sports movements launched by the labour union of Thai Nguyen University. Besides, every year, the labour union organises sports tournaments and friendship matches to create a healthy atmosphere of practice and enjoyment for staff and employees.
The labour union members have enthusiastically participated in charity and humanitarian activities launched by the labour union of Ministry of Education and Training and labour union of Thai Nguyen University, actively organised fundraisers to support families of staff and employees with special and difficult circumstances; and supported poor students in localities inside and outside the province. On average, every year, the union members make donations of about 100 million dong. In 2016, one of the practical activities of the union in the work of repaying gratitude, drinking water and remembering the source was recognised by the provincial leaders: The university was honored to receive the support of Vietnamese Heroic Mother Lam Thi Tu, residing in Dong Bam commune, Thai Nguyen city.
In the last 5 years, Labour Union has received: 01 Emulation Flag of the Labour Union of Ministry of Education and Training in the academic year 2015-2016; 01 Certificate of Merit from the Provincial Labor Confederation in the academic year 2015-2016; 03 Certificates of Merit from the Labour Union of Ministry of Education and Training for the academic years 2017-2018, 2019-2020, 2020-2021 for annual and extraordinary achievements. Labour union members in the whole university received 01 Certificate of Merit from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour; 16 Certificates of Merit from the Vietnam Education Labour Union; and 01 Certificate of Merit from the Thai Nguyen Provincial Labor Confederation.
