Kunming Imprints
From 2 to 12 June, 2019, the delegation of cadres, lecturers and students of the University of Information and Communication Technology (ICTU) consists of 23 people led by Dr. Vu Duc Thai – Deputy Secretary of ICTU Party Committee, Vice Rector as the leader of the team successfully completed the mission to participate in “The 5th South and Southeast Asia College Student Culture and Sports Week at Kunming – China.”

This is the second year that the program has been widely deployed by Kunming University of Science and Technology to universities in Thai Nguyen University. In 2019, ICTU is one of 4 units of Thai Nguyen University to register to attend.
According to schedule of the program, the delegation participated in the 2nd Yunnan-South and Southeast Asia Forum for Education Cooperation together with 20 universities from China, India, Thailand, and Myanmar. At the same time, the delegation participated in the men’s soccer competition with 4 matches against Myanmar student team, Team B of Kunming University of Science and Technology, International Student Team of Kunming University of Science and Technology and Yunnan Pedagogy University.
Confidently introducing ICTU to international friends
With a world-class student playground, the ICTU team quickly took the initiative in integrating and creating a good impression with the Organizing Committee and international students attending the event. Every match, every exchange activity of the delegation was received welcome and enthusiastic cheers. After 4 exciting and fierce competitions, there were choking moments and surging emotions, the ICTU men’s football team has won the trophy.
Overview of the summation program
After the delegation returned from Kunming, on the afternoon of June 17, the university organized a review of the business trip. On behalf of ICTU, Dr. Nguyen Van Tao – Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector noted and congratulated the achievements of the whole team. During this trip, teachers and students of ICTU were not only confident and created a good impression in the hearts of international friends but the joy was even more complete when we achieved impressive results in men’s football competition. In the coming time, the school will continue to create conditions and strengthen international exchange activities so that ICTU students can be “rubbed” and integrated.

Nguyen Thanh Dung, on behalf of the members of the team attended the meeting, sent a thank-you to the ICTU Board, the teachers who facilitated them to join a large playground. The journey was over with blood and tears because of the pain and injury on the pitch, but overcoming these, all of us were still the winners.

At the end of the program, the ICTU officials and students have successfully completed the tasks as expected. This is an opportunity for staff and students. The university has the opportunity to meet, exchange and introduce Vietnamese identity and culture to international friends.
