Automation Technology

FACULTY OF AUTOMATION TECHNOLOGY was established under the Decision No.548/QDDT of President of Thai Nguyen University signed on 24 August, 2006 about training automation engineers at Faculty of Information Technology (today is Thai Nguyen University of Information and Communication Technology). After six years of performing the teaching tasks and developing,  Faculty of Automation Technology has built up strong staff and material facilities for special scientific training and researching.

Automation Engineer Training Program of ICTU is built on references from the teaching program of advanced universities in the world such as MIT-Massachusetts Institute of Technology, TU Dresden – Technishe University Dresden, University of California Beckley, … and in domestic universities such as the Hanoi Polytechnic University. Every year the program will be updated to suit the technical progress and practical needs.

Currently, Faculty of Automation Technology has 3 departments undertake general task of automation engineer training:

– Department of Automation Basis

– Department of Technology and automatic equipment

– Department of Robots and automatic control

Staff and lecturers of the department consists of 42 people; including 9 Associate Professor-Dr (Prof. Dr.) and 20 master’s degree. The lecturers are highly qualified and have many practical experiences.

The division is equipped with large and airy lecture halls and modern laboratories. Besides practicing in the university, students also have internships in companies and manufactures in and outside Thai Nguyen Province.
