Faculty of Basic Sciences – University of Information and Communication Technology was established on 09 February 2006 (under the decision No 244/ QĐ – TCCB dated on 09 February 2006 about the establishment of Faculty of Basic Sciences- University of Information Technology by the President of Thai Nguyen University).
1. Duties, functions:
Duties:
– Teaching: Faculty of Basic Sciences is in charge of teaching, researching subjects in the basic knowledge in most of training programs and other duties assigned by the Rector of University of Information and Communication Technology.
Faculty of Basic Sciences is in charge of teaching the following subjects:
- Advanced Mathematics 1.
- Advanced Mathematics 2.
- Mathematics in Control
- Possibilities & Statistics
- Optimization
- Differential Equation
- Descriptive geometry
- Physics 1.
- Physics 2.
- Mathematics in Automatic Control

+ Guiding students in practical sections on the following fields: Calculated and applied mathematics in IT, Computer Science. Specialized subject: Discrete Mathematics, Theories of graphs, Theories of algorithm, Numerical methods, Partial differential equation, Optimization
